I adapted vegan diet. It sounded simple for a vegetarian to become a vegan. But cutting dairy wasn’t easy. I wasn’t aware that various Lays chips contain lactose. In addition, I had to say goodbye to a lot of sweets, a lot. That hunting for vegan food while traveling is the toughest challenge.
I moved. Purchased my first property in a city called Hamilton. My grandma always says that it’s important to have a place to call home when settling down in a new country. She was right, but I knew that “家” was not just house, it’s something more.
I changed my car. It’s Bolt EV. I was never truly attracted to ICE cars. My initial plan was to have Prius as a second car and Tesla as my end goal. I was glad that I made the more environmental-friendly choice. “Off the grid”(Solar roof + Tesla battery) would be my next big project.
I changed my job, two months before the fifth anniversary at my previous workplace. It wasn’t any easy or trivial decision. I had great managers, amazing peers, and I also made close bonds with some… friends. My future was bright. But there was a calling, I had been sitting idle for too long, I needed an answer to myself. When the opportunity presented itself, I instinctively knew that it was about time.
I ended a relationship that would have led to marriage. Around the same time when Justin Nozuka broke up with Lauren. Please know that my will to nurture your spiritual growth is as much as your love for me. Do not change for anyone other than yourself. There will be pain, there will be sadness, but do not be discouraged. Instead, be inspired, be challenged, and above all, be loved. When we enter our 60s, I hope that you are filled with joy when looking back at the journey that we shared together. Find your calling. I will see you somewhere beyond stars.
